Yes, I do have a bachelors degree it is not related to my field at all, my degrees focus is in language, literature and writing.
How long have you worked in your industry?
5 years
How did you get started in your industry?
I was recommended by a relative who works for the company to apply for a position.
What do you wish people knew about your industry?
That its not about sales, its about our clients and helping them be successful.
What advice would you give someone looking for their place in your industry?
Nothing is guaranteed and sometimes you won’t make your goal for the month but don’t let that discourage you. Also be yourself, authenticity is hard to find and clients love talking to someone who is truly genuine and authentic.
What do you think are essential qualities for someone to possess if they are interested in working in your industry?
Charisma, curiosity, discipline and patience.
What is the hardest part of your career/industry/job for you?
All the changes and uncertainty in the industry.
What is the most fun part of your career/industry/job for you?
The flexibility and being able to make an impact in my clients life.
If you could change one thing about your business/industry what would it be?
I think the only thing I don’t care for is forecasting. Cause I never know where I’m going to end up at the end of the month.
If you could do it all over again would you still want to end up where you are now?
Maybe and Maybe not. I love animals and I think I would have liked to be an veterinarian if I could go back and change things

What is the worst advice you've ever gotten, or in hindsight given? Did the advice hinder or embolden your advances?
I think before covid there was this notion that if you felt something was wrong at work it was you and not the environment. The policy was there was something wrong with you but the organization was never the culprit. Toxic positivity.
What does your typical daily schedule look like?
Wake up, Prospect, Answer emails, Meetings, Answer more emails.
What does work/life balance mean to you? And how do you personally achieve it?
It means everything to me, I’m so lucky that I’m able to travel and live my life and my work allows me that freedom. If I wanted to I could work from anywhere in the country and I know that my company supports me if I need an extended time away from work. I do my best to not obsess about work after I log off.
What does self care mean to you? How often do you take time for self care, or is it not important for you?
Self care is stepping away from anything that messes with my inner peace. I try to spend time in nature every day this helps ground me and puts everything in perspective. Self care is extremely important to me.
How do you show yourself care and compassion while ruling your world?
I try to be kind to myself and give myself grace, I’m not a robot I’m human and I have feelings and emotions that I sometimes can’t control and its okay be me.
How often do you schedule time off and vacations?
I try to take time off every 3 months (for like major trips).
What did you do for your last vacation or time off?
I went hiking in Maine and also went on a whale watching tour (August 2022).
Are you a life planner or do you let it go with the flow?
Both I try to plan but sometimes things don’t go as planned so going with the flow it is.
If a planner, what is the next goal you are going to hit?
Buying a house
What did you want to be when you were a child?
A Marine biologist
If you could do it all over again would you still want to end up where you are now? If no, where do you wish you had gone?
If I could do it all over again yes I think I would still want to end up where I’m at now.
